Time4soup in run by Cara Smith (they/she/he) a non binary 3D illustrator based in Manchester from Jersey. They work in multimedia focusing on textiles, animation, illustration and model making. Their quirky style of work is seen through their characters, originally drawn as 2D illustrations then brought to life in 3D using materials such as clay, fabric and stop motion. Their work mainly focuses on mental health and well being issues.

They graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a First Class Honours degree in Illustration with Animation in 2023.

Their work has been featured in exhibitions in the UK, most recently in Girls and Guts for Bath Arts Fringe Festival 2024 and HappeninginMcr Affecks Palace Micro Gallery 2024 where their work sold.

They started growing their business time4soup in 2024 and have sold in local markets and craft fairs. Everything is made by Cara and every piece is unique in their own way, handmade with care and love.
